Zawngtra le Kawtebel Zeu


  1. Stink Beans (Zawngtra in Hmar)
  2. Trevesia Palmata (Kawtebel in Hmar)
  3. Fermented Fish (Ngathu in Hmar)
  4. Dried Red Chilli (Hmarchatrawl in Hmar)
  5. Tomato
  6. Onion
  7. Oil


  1. Peel the outer covering skin of the whole Stink Beans.
  2. Cut and remove the sides of the Stink Beans.
  3. Cut the Stink Beans into 1/2 inch pieces.
  4. Wash and keep aside.
  5. Clean and remove the stem/shoots of Trevesia Palmata.
  6. Wash and keep aside.
  7. Heat oil in a pan.
  8. Fry sliced onion until brown.
  9. Add turmeric powder.
  10. Add Dried Red Chilli.
  11. Stir-fry in low flame for a minute.
  12. Add sliced Tomato.
  13. Fry for about 5-minute, stirring occasionally.
  14. Add Stink Beans, Trevesia Palmata and Salt.
  15. Cover it with a lid.
  16. Stir occasionally.
  17. Off the gas stove when the Stink Beans and Trevesia Palmata are fried soft.
