Hmesei le Alu Ngathu Chialhme

INGREDIENTS

  1. Drumstick
  2. Potato
  3. Fermented Fish
  4. Tomato
  5. Green Chilli
  6. Salt
  7. Water

RECIPE

  1. Cut the Drumsticks into 2 inches length.
  2. Wash and put them in a cooking pot.
  3. Peel the Potato, cut the Potato in the middle vertically.
  4. Cut them again lengthwise into half inches.
  5. Wash and add them to the cooking pot.
  6. Wash Tomatoes, cut it vertically into six parts and add them too.
  7. Add Water 1 inches above the level of the vegetables.
  8. Halve the Green Chilli with a knife and add.
  9. Add Fermented Fish.
  10. Add Salt.
  11. Cook with the lid on top of the pot and stir occasionally.
  12. When the potatoes are cooked, mash some to make thicker gravy with the head of the cooking spoon.
  13. Mash the Tomatoes as well.
  14. When you think the amount of the gravy is enough, you can switch off the gas stove.
  15. Add chopped Coriander Leaves to garnish.
