INGREDIENTS
- Taro (Bal in Hmar)
- Eurya Japonica Leaves (Sizo in Hmar)
- Fermented Fish
- Green Chilli
- Baking Soda
- Water
- Salt
RECIPE
- Peel the Taro and cut it into chunks.
- Wash the Eurya Japonica Leaves.
- Put both in a cooking vessel.
- Add water to about an inch above the level of the vegetables.
- Add 4 pieces of Fermented Fish.
- Pound Green Chilli in a Mortar and Pastel and add.
- Cook until the Taro is cooked soft, stirring occasionally.
- Lower the flame of the gas stove.
- Add 1/3 spoon of Baking Soda.
- Stir occasionally and also mash some of the Taro chunks.
- Cook until the Eurya Japonica Leaves are soft.
- Add Salt to taste.
