How to make a indigenous traditional dish out of green beans, eggplant and fermented fish!


  1. Green Beans (Barak River Beans)
  2. Eggplant
  3. Fermented Fish
  4. Green Chilli
  5. Baking Soda
  6. Salt
  7. Water


  1. In a cooking vessel, put the Green Beans and pour Water just above the level of the beans.
  2. Add halved Green Chilli and Fermented Fish.
  3. When the beans is half-cooked, lower the flames on the gas stove.
  4. Add Baking Soda.
  5. Cut the Eggplants irregularly and add it.
  6. Adjust the flames on the gas stove to medium.
  7. Stir occasionally.
  8. Add salt to taste.
